Escape to the serenity of our West Range Cabins. Each cabin is designed for an authentic off-grid experience, powered by solar energy to keep your stay environmentally friendly. At our West Range Cabins, indulge in the rustic charm of private, heated bunkhouse-style cabins. Two Cabins are equipped with 5 single beds, and our Levi Cabin is equipped with 2 single beds. All have solar-powered lights and fresh bedding is provided. The heart of our retreat, the central dining lodge, invites you to unwind, delve into a good book, engage in friendly card games, or simply enjoy the company of fellow adventurers. After a day spent exploring the trails, refresh under a soothing hot shower. Savour the warmth of home-cooked meals for breakfast and supper, complemented by hearty bag lunches to fuel your horseback adventures across this beautiful landscape.
Embark on an exhilarating journey to the summit of Paradise Ridge, where you'll experience vistas so spectacular, they seem like dreams. Gain a total of 1,200 vertical feet in a matter of 2 hours, reaching a total of 5,600ft which you then ride along the ridgetop for 5 kilometers, which then circles back to the cabins Enjoy the views changing from the Athabasca to the Solomon valleys before descending on foot on the steeper sections of the trail.
Day Trip Loop Length: 5-6hrs with stops and lunch
Journey through a lush, dense forest with numerous creek crossings to reach the majestic Solomon Canyon. As the mountains slope down to meet the canyon, they create a breathtaking, panoramic experience that envelops our lunch spot. After enjoying your meal, there's an option to climb up the canyon walls for an even more picturesque view. After this eventful day, you'll return to the cabins via the same scenic route.
Day Trip Length: 4-5hrs with stops and lunch
Starting from the cabins, we'll follow the Solomon Canyon trail before branching off to Peterson Ridge. The journey involves a steep climb, reaching an elevation of 6,500 feet above sea level in approximately 3.5 hours of riding. At the summit, you'll enjoy lunch with a panoramic 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, we'll begin by walking back down the steep descent to the cabins, concluding this exhilarating day of adventure.
Day Trip Length: 6-7hrs with stops and lunch
(This trip is longer than most. Guests should consider this as a more challenging ride)
Begin your journey following Solomon Creek downstream to where it meets the South Fork. From there, we'll branch south, heading up to the headwaters. Once we reach our destination, we'll tie up our horses and take a short 5-minute walk to witness an expansive view, where the falls can be seen in the distance, dramatically cutting through the majestic mountain peaks.
